I haven’t reached a mental block nor have I given up on photography.
I simply haven’t had time to make pictures. Between working 60+ hours a week and training for my upcoming Spartan Races; my time has become very limited.Apologies to all.
This year has been a memorable one for me. I ended a diseased and broken relationship with my crazy [ex] girlfriend, started traveling, and created my own blog! I am so happy to have received such positive feedback on my photos. With no prior technical training in photography, I picked up a camera and embarked on a journey that has taken me to some awe-inspiring places. This goes to show that if I can do it, ANYONE can learn. I think my biggest epiphany in photography this year was learning what function an in-camera light meter served. For months, I was guessing all of my exposures *face-palm*!
Since March, this blog has accrued 958 followers, 2500 page visits, and generated 119 blog postings. My many thanks to Lensblr, Telescopical, and my first followers: stephaniejasper, mdeansrauss, and aviddisk. And of course, thank you to ALL of my followers.
Like you, I am just your average joe. I am just an ordinary person that one day decided to see what else this world had to offer and brought a camera along for the ride. If there is one take-home advice I have to offer from this blog, it is this:
LIVE YOUR LIFE ACCORDING TO YOU AND NO ONE ELSE.
Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year,
After all of this working… I’m gonna take a month off. I’m gonna take my fuji, my tripod, and just live out of a backpack as I hike through Hawaii. Anybody wanna go with me?
